i don't understand how the stars could have moved so much during a 30 second exposure.
did you combine 2 different images or what ?

dA's camera data can be misleading. This is around 90 photographs stacked on top of each other, each shot at 30 seconds. Its about a 45 minute exposure. Thanks!

It will be close to half an hour 45 minutes my guess of stacked exposures.

I agree though, great shot, I like the contrast of the tree to the sky

Great job! Pretty close, think it's between 40-50 minutes. The 16-35 really puts that distortion of the stars into an awesome view.
